ENG 1020 RJA #10

RJA #10: Thesis Statement
-What provoked the Germans to get involved in World War 2?
-The Germans saw America weak and thought it would be a good time to take over.
-The Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, and seeing America weak, Germany decided to get involved and thought that they could take over. The big action came when America and Germany fought for the right treatment of Jews and to get rid of the kinds of government they were running.

In the 1940's, Worls War 2 began with the bombing of Pearl Harbor from Japan. Germany saw America as weak in this time, and decided to attack and try to take over. The bulk of the war was when America decided to fight back, and end the styles of government they were running and to end the mistreatment of the Jewish among other people.

Eng 1020 RJA #7

RJA #7a: Internet Research Tools–
Personally, before this class I simply used google and text books from the library to find what I needed. I like google because it brings up so many different options, however sometimes the search is completely not what I wanted and I have to go back to more pages and revamp my search. This class has helped me expand so much when it comes to finding legit information in so many places. I really like my delicious account because sometimes when I try to go back to find the original site, it's not there. I can also put tags on my bookmarks that help me to remember exactly what the article was talking about.

RJA #7b: Internet Research Tool Test–
I searched incywincy.com. I searched for the keywords Japanese Attack on Pearl Harbor, I did my search on Ocotber 5th, 2009. There were 10,525 hits on this topic alone. The relevance of my hits was pretty much a 4 or 5, they were very informative.

RJA #7c: Field Research Plan–
For my field research, I am goiong to interview my Grandpa who just returned from his WW2 reunion and his friend who is a Halocaust survivor. I plan to do this within the next two weeks with my grandpa, as for his friend, I have yet to set up the interview. I want to ask them what it felt like to know that America was attacked, and how he felt about being drafted. I also want to ask him what civillian life was like in Europe.
