I looked into citizendium.com, searched WW2 and got useful information, but it was a draft article and not to be cited...dang it! It helped me get a better idea of what went on.

Datapedia also posed an issue- I searched for World War 2, Pearl Harbor, Japan attacks US and nothing came up.

On infoplease.com, I found a section that posted the bibliography and it had many, many authors and titles that also had information about WW2 and this was the most information about the actual article author and publisher...

RJA #5B: Books
As I said earlier, the infoplease.com website gave me many options for books to look in, even one written by Dwight D. Eisenhower. I plan to go to my local library and research these titles this week-
Dwight D. Eisenhower, Crusade in Europe (1948, repr. 1951); Omar H. Bradley, A Soldier's Story (1951, repr. 1970); Winston S. Churchill, The Second World War (6 vol., 1948–54); Harry S. Truman, Memoirs (2 vol., 1955–6); Field Marshal Montgomery, Memoirs (1958); Charles de Gaulle, Complete War Memoirs (1964, repr. 1967); Douglas MacArthur, Reminiscences (1964); Albert Speer, Inside the Third Reich (1970).

I accessed this website one September 21, 2009.

RJA #3

A: So far, I have only done an interview with my Grandpa, talking about the time he served and why America got into the war in the first place. I have made plans to go to his house and look at magazines and journals he has collected over the years about WW2, and movies he has as well. I plan to spend my "sick day"(I've had a HORRIBLE sinus infection for a few days and haven't been too productive...) tomorrow researching websites and using delicious.

B: I really need to specify my topic, and I hope that by the research I do tomorrow I will be able to do that. I know I want to talk about WW2, but what about it exactly I am not sure of. The textbook gave me a great idea when it came to narrowing down a topic, with dissecting a small blurb about my topic and expanding more on it to see what I already know and how much potential there is in that specific part of my topic.

C: Who was the main instigator?

What made Hitler attack the US?

When did the war in Europe really start?

How did the war with Japan end?

Why did Japan attack Pearl Harbor?
