RJA #1: Areas of Academic Intrest

My academic intrests which I may base my research on is primarly individuals with developmental disabilities. I work in the field and I intend major in Social Work with an emphasis on inidivials with disabilities. I want to research things such as cognative development within this population, what resources are out there for them to have a "normal" like life, and possibly even the history of the care of these individuals. I currently work at the old and infamous 'Ridge Homes' and in training they briefly discussed the stigmas of how they were treated in the past. I am very passionate about the population I work with and would love to greatly increase my knowledge of it in all aspects.
